Well the three day weekend came and went quicker than my normal 2 day weekend. If that's even possible...
Let me start with saying that Manuel has a new job. This job is just to hold us over until the ports pick up again... probably not for another year or two... He is working at the El Mor Toyota Dealership in Huntington Beach-- so if any of you are looking to get a Toyota, ask for Manuel, Wednesday-Sunday. He started on Friday, 05/22/09 for training. And since Friday he has sold 3 cars, one each day :] I am so proud of him! I knew he would be great at it and he seems really happy to be contributing and doing something every day. While it has the perks of $$, it still kind of sucks that Aubree and I don't see him. So far, he has worked until close pretty much every day, so by the time he gets home, both Aubree and I are passed out... BUT in the long run, all the time we missed out on right now will be worth it....
SO, I was basically a single mother this weekend :[ I missed the hubby & Aubree really missed her Daddy. Anytime she heard a noise outside she would run to the door and yell "Daddy! Daddy!" :[ I give props to all those single mother's out there.....
While Aubree is a great child she is still a booger sometimes! Haha. Saturday we cleaned and did laundry... Yeah, I know, exciting, haha, but it REALLY needed to be done. When Manuel only has one pair of boxers left I know it's been a while since I did the laundry. Haha. Sunday, Aubree and I had a playdate with a girl I knew from high school and her daughter Allison. Aubree and Allison are only 20 days apart, so needless to say, they didn't get along as well as we would have liked them too. lol Hopefully with each playdate they will get along better :] Dylan was also there at the park and it was pretty cute how he was chasing the girls around and growling at them :] Ah, my family is adorable! lol Manuel was off somewhat early Sat night so we went to dinner at Red Robin.... We went there one because it is one of my favorite places to eat, but also because we wanted to cruise the mall... Only we forgot that it was Sunday and the mall closes early... NO FUN. Sunday was hot, fun and tiring. Aubree, my mom, Hannah, my grandma and I all piled into the car and went to Disneyland. It took us 15 minutes to get into the parking structure, but suprisingly the park wasn't all that crowded... Go Figure. Disneyland was fun but we missed Daddy. Of course we went onto Aubree's favorite ride "It's A Small World" where she didn't want to get off! Literally she was kicking and screaming. All in all the weekend was good. It was nice to spend so much time with Aubree. We watched movies, read books and played with toys....
This weekend was really messed up excercise wise, so I have to get back on track this week! Gotta jump into it positively, otherwise I am setting myself up for failure!
Hope you all enjoyed your 3 day weekend :]

New Beginnings
First let me say that p90x is killer! lol BUT totally worth it. So far Manuel is down 10 lbs and I am down 4. Someone please explain to me how he eats A TON and is down 10 lbs, while I watch what I eat and am down only 4???? Well, after a week's worth of Core, Cardio, Shoulder/Arms & Abs, Yoga and Kenpo we were exhausted! Haha. We are already starting to see more results than just in our number. We are really excited and I will try to remember to update you about this week's accomplishments! Almost 2 weeks down, only 10 more to go! :]
Some other GREAT news is that Manuel got a new job! Mostly this is in the meantime until the ports pick back up again. He is now a salesman at the Toyota Dealership in Huntington Beach! :] We are super excited. They offered him a great amount of money and hopefully this will mean that we are able to get another car and move out. I may even be able to stop working and finally go back to school. We have been asking God for a long time now to send something good our way and finally something good has happened. Today is his first day and he doesn't know when he will be coming home or the details of when he is working, so as it looks like right now, Aubree's and my weekend will be consisting of staying in the house all weekend.... Well, except for Monday when we are going to Disneyland with my mom :]
I have seriously been stressing out about earthquakes the last week. I keep telling Manuel "OMG, did you feel that?" LOL. He keeps telling me I am being paranoid, but I can't help it. We are going to be better prepared for the next one.... Hopefully there won't be any more though, for a long, LONG time.
Aubree is SO incredibly smart. She talks up a storm and is such a little love bug. She enjoy's being at Rosie's every day, but I can't wait for the day when I get to spend all my days with her :] She can now count to 4 in English and Spanish (& I taught her how to say it in Spanish thank you!). She loves to play outside in the water. Manuel and I have been trying to find her a slide for a long time, but haven't found one yet that isn't $100 +. Aubree really suprises me everyday with some new thing she has learned or just something completely sweet and adorable. She dances and sings and is definitely the sunshine in our lives.
So to sum it up Aubree and Manuel are doing great :] I on the other hand am continuously a worry wart, but hope that all these new things will relieve some of my stress :]

Losing the Pounds
Today is the day that both Manuel and I will be starting p90x. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is an excercise program done 7 days a week for 90 days, that focuses on muscle confusion. We bought this program last summer and Manuel had started it but after 3 weeks, he had an akle injury from football so was unable to continue the program.
We both decided to get on top of it and start feeling better about ourselves by starting this excercise program as well as following the diet.
That means Protein shakes for breakfast and snack -- plus protein bars as a snack too! GROSS, but if we want to see the best results, we have to follow the rules to a T.
I would like to lose about 25 lbs and Manuel about 30. Mostly, we would like to tone up and look lean.
Wish us luck :] No wait, say a prayer for us! :]
