Well, I have been keeping Aubree and myself very busy while Manuel is working…. We run MANY errands and have even been to Medieval Times. Which she absolutely LOVED! We were invited by my friend Shannon & her daughter Ella, who is going to be two in August, so that makes the girls only about 7 months apart. Both girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Medieval Times was the first time that Aubree wasn’t glued to my leg and actually didn’t want to come with me. I am still not quite sure how I felt about that, but I am glad that she was SO excited about the show. I can’t wait to take her back again. She even at the food! YAY!
Aubree just had her 18 month check up and she is perfect! She is right smack in the middle- 32 inches long and 25 lbs 7 oz. The Dr said to keep doing whatever I’m doing. I have to admit that I was a little worried because Aubree doesn’t really drink milk. I give her a glass at every meal, but she usually refuses and asks for water. Go figure. The Dr checked her belly twice (I’m not quite sure why) and everything is good. She had two shots in her arms! My poor baby girl! As soon as we left the Dr’s office she ripped off her Band-Aids though. Lol. And to make it all better she got a bubble machine. It was only 5 bucks and she LOVES it. Luckily the next appointment will be 6 months from here. Oh & the best part is that she took a 3 hour nap! 3 hours! That was one of the best naps I have had in a VERY long time. I can’t believe that Aubree is already a year and a half! My baby is so NOT a baby anymore…. I can’t handle it.
Other than that I have been suffering from major migraines, but try to refuse to let them bring me down. When Mommy gets sick, it doesn’t mean the duties or responsibilities stop. They can’t for me. With Manuel working 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week, I’m the only one who Aubree can rely on. A Mom’s gotta do what a Mom’s gotta do.
I’m still contemplating school. My mom has offered to watch Aubree while I take classes but I’m kind of in a rut. I mean, what the point of getting a teaching degree right now if there are NO availabilities???

New Direction
Well originally I created this blog in hopes that my hubby would want to contribute to it and let all his family and friends who even bother to check this thing, know how life is going, but sadly I am the only one who does any updates. I doubt Manuel even knows where to find this website or how to long on. So after you take all that in, you can see why my decision for the following occurred. From this I decided to make this blog more from my viewpoint on everything. I will, of course, put numerous updates on what is going on in our lives, but I will also include things that I think about… things about being a wife, mommy, and just life in general. I won’t bore you with all the details now; you will have to read it later. lol
Lately I have had a whirlwind of feelings about everything. I have basically been a single parent for the last month and a half. While I am ever so grateful for Manuel’s job and all the money he brings in, Aubree and I rarely see him. He is usually working from 9am-9pm 6 days a week. On his 1 day off, he usually spends it sleeping or golfing. I seriously have to give props to all of the single mothers out there. It really makes me appreciate everything my own mother had to go through. Now, I’m not saying that Aubree is a difficult child or anything like that, it’s more that I just never get a break. I really never have time to myself. Now don’t get me wrong, I love spending my moments with Aubree. I am very blessed to have such a loving child, someone who wants to spend all their time with me—even potty time, but I would love to have my hubby home sometimes so I can go get a pedicure or even something as simple as take a nap without having a knee in my back or getting kicked in the eye. I guess every parent goes through this right?
Now, don’t go on thinking I am complaining about my life. I’m not one bit. I love my life. Sure I don’t love everything single thing about it, but who does?
We are looking into buying a new Matrix from his dealership and as soon as we get that and get settled into our payment we will be able to start looking for our own place to move. I can’t wait to have our own home to come to… not have to worry about what I am wearing when I get out of bed or who is ringing the freaking doorbell at 9:30. Soon enough everything will come together :)
I could go on and on about things right now, but I guess I will leave you with this for now.

4th of July
This year was Aubree's 2nd 4th of July and the first holiday Daddy missed. He worked from 9 to 9 & was the only person on his sales team to sell a car. Aubree and I are SO proud of him! Aubree and I spent our 4th with my mom, sister Hannah and Dylan. Ruth had to work and Simon was down in Mexico with the grandparents and Megan. We went to the grand opening of the new park in Downey on Clark, but found that everything there had posters on them saying "Only Elementary and Middle School Kids can play here." That should have been listed in the paper because Aubree and Dylan were very disappointed to find that they weren't able to play in the bounce houses. BUT from there we went home, had lunch, took a nap and then went swimming. Where they ate pushup popsicles and made a huge mess. :) We waited for Daddy to get off of work to do Fireworks. Aubree didn't like the fireworks much. ESPECIALLY the loud ones. She would hide her head in the blanket while they were going off and when they were over would clap. We would ask her "Again?" & she would say "No" lol. It was a long and exhausting day, but a lot of fun :)
